The legs can all be adjusted individually to 3 different angles (25˚ 50˚ 80˚) for uneven terrain and low angle shooting. The dual locking safety mechanism and anti-shock ring prevent the damage that can be caused by camera vibration and will eliminate any worries you might have about your equipment falling from the tripod during transportation. | The Vanguard Alta Pro range of tripods has two special features that make it a cut above its competition. First is the MACC system – a real innovation in modern tripod design. MACC stands for ‘Multi-Angle Central Column’ – a feature that allows you to manoeuvre the tripod’s central column between 0-130° – covering a full range of Horizontal and vertical positions, and 40° more flexibility than any of its rivals. This means it’s ideal for tricky subjects
such as macro and still life that are sometimes awkward to photograph. Then there’s the ISSL system: Instant Swivel Stop-n-Lock. This allows users to securely and quickly reposition the central column at the flick of a bright orange switch. No more fumbling around trying to tighten lots of different levers and risking missing the shot. Although all the Alta Pro tripods are lightweight and easy to carry, there are lots of built-in features designed to maximize stability. The hexagonal
central column design is less vulnerable to accidental slippage, while adjustable feet help you gain good grip in a variety of terrain. There are three leg angles for use on uneven ground (25°, 50° and 80°) and a patented magnesium die-cast canopy (where the legs meet) ensures a good firm leg brace. No-slip, all weather foam grips on the legs and an anti-shock ring prevent camera vibration damage. Levered leg locks on the aluminium alloy tripods tighten and loosen legs as desired, with a
reassuringly firm action. |

In choosing a tripod, photographers always face the dilemma of maximum stability versus weight.
In designing the Tracker series, Vanguard has completely eliminated this problem. Without resorting to expensive carbon fibres, the Tracker Series
offers either 28mm or 32mm tubular legs which are extremely stable yet relatively lightweight as compared to traditional tripods.
The legs can be individually adjusted to 3 different angles to facilitate use on uneven ground and/or low angle shooting.
The column is easily reversed for macro or copy work. The leg locks are designed to hold heavy equipment.
We have designed a hexagon centre column to offer additional stability. Large foam grips on 3 legs are designed to make handling the tripod more comfortable. |
